Ranipet Profile
In 2007 another plant was acquired in Ranipet (120 km west of Chennai), having about 11,000 m² total area, about 11 m³ reactors capacity, where production of all intermediates are concentrated, thus leaving larger APIs manufacturing capacity at Alathur plant. Additional reactors capacity of 6 m³ will be installed before the end of 2009. The large free area still available at Ranipet plant allows ample space for future expansions.
In late 2008 a dedicated plant for the manufacture of bulk sterile lyophilized Hormons/Steroids (denominated Section 4) was commissioned.
